A Golden Night at the Royal Albert Hall

This week, a few of us from the team got glammed up and headed to the iconic Royal Albert Hall for none other than The Grocer Gold Awards – a night that celebrates the very best in the FMCG world. And what a night it was!
We had the pleasure of joining our fabulous client, JDE who were the official coffee sponsor for the evening. After a night filled with celebration and well-deserved awards, they helped wrap things up the best way they know how - with a perfectly brewed cup of coffee.
Persil literally cleaned up, taking home Household Goods Brand of the Year – and it’s no wonder! It’s breakthrough launch, Wonder Wash, made waves across the country, reaching an amazing 8.5% household penetration in under a year. What started as a modest range of six SKUs has grown to ten, thanks to its innovation and powerful performance. The judges were seriously impressed, calling out the product's standout tech and the team’s incredible execution.
Meanwhile, Aldi continued its winning streak, bagging the title of Retailer Employer of the Year – for the third time in four years! Talk about setting the bar high. The budget retailer’s Specially Selected range was also crowned Own Label Range of the Year after judges hailed it as being ‘an undeniably smart reaction to Aldi’s position in the UK supermarket space.’
From breakthrough innovations to people-powered wins, the night was a glowing reminder of why this industry shines so brightly.
