Clarion Communications Land a Tier-rific Slice of Hollywood for Scots Cake Company

A 10-tier "broken" wedding cake, Will Ferrell, Reese Witherspoon, and a premiere - what could be more exciting? This week, we teamed up with 3D Cakes to spread the word about their incredible creation.
The gravity-defying two-metre creation that took 18 hours to create on behalf of Prime Video, was the work of Edinburgh-based 3D cakes - and was transported to London for the event at the London Palladium last Thursday. Reese and Will playfully mirrored the poses of their edible cake toppers on the red carpet, standing alongside the hilariously broken wedding cake – a nod to the comedic mishap in their recent film.
Our Scottish team sharply executed some snappy news copy to pitch to media alongside the money shot, working tenaciously to liaise with media across Scotland. So far securing coverage with The Scotsman, STV News Online, Glasgow Times, Edinburgh Live, The National, Yahoo as well as an interview on Heart Breakfast with the two anchor presenters.
David Duncan of 3D Cakes said: “It's not every day our work gets to share the spotlight with Hollywood royalty like Will Ferrell and Reese Witherspoon, but as supporting acts go, we were thrilled to be involved. Having it featured at the UK premiere alongside the stars of the film was the icing on the cake!"
Lynne Hughes, Deputy Managing Partner at Clarion Communications said: "It’s not every day you get to PR a 10-tier ‘broken’ wedding cake for a Hollywood attended premiere! With media landscapes more competitive than ever, having strong press contacts is key to landing standout coverage. Our team moved fast, turning this around in just 48 hours, crafting a compelling story and securing fantastic media hits to make sure this gravity-defying creation got the attention it deserved."
