Clarion Launches Aldi Sports Bursary With Team GB and Paralympic GB

Research from the supermarket suggests that despite a jam-packed sporting summer on our screens, the reality amongst local sporting communities is not so stellar – a staggering 41% of Brits say their local sports club is in desperate need of support and funding, with 1 in 3 clubs having been forced to shut down completely.

In a bid to save local sports clubs and teams up and down the nation, we created Aldi’s Sports Bursary. 

10 groups will be selected by Aldi and Team GB and Paralympics GB athletes to each receive the unique bursary, which includes a ‘money can’t buy’ coaching session at their club led by a Team GB or ParalympicsGB athlete, a cash prize to buy bespoke equipment and facilities, plus Aldi vouchers!

Not only has there already been a flood of entries – over 300 and counting, but the news has also generated a whopping 110 pieces of coverage so far, including headlines in Daily Star, Indy100 and Daily Mirror to name but a few.
