Mind the Gap: Empowering our Team With Tailored Communication Training

That’s why we recently hit pause for an insightful ‘Mind the Gap’ Communication Training session with one of our Clarion Very Clever People (VCP/Advisory Board Member) Kerry Savage. It was all about boosting how everyone connects and collaborates across the agency.
This wasn’t generic training; it was built specifically for the team, thanks to all the brilliant feedback gathered from our anonymous Office Vibe surveys and peer sessions. Themes emerged around truly understanding each other’s roles and the pressures that come with them and keeping things professional even when deadlines are looming. It served as a great reminder that every single role at the agency is crucial – we all need each other to make Clarion the success it is.
The session was packed with practical tips, from better briefing and giving constructive feedback (not shouted across the office!) to sticking to processes and handling tricky conversations with respect and privacy. The team even explored their ‘Chimp’ and ‘Human’ reactions, learning to lean into empathy and problem-solving.
By investing in this, we aren’t just improving how we chat; we are strengthening the respect and understanding at the heart of our culture.
