Inspiring the Next Gen of PR Stars: Clarion Sponsors Inaugural PRCA Insights Day at the BBC

We were delighted to be a sponsor of the inaugural PRCA Insights Day, held at the BBC and designed to inspire Year 12 and 13 students looking at careers in PR and Comms.

Hosting the ‘Pitch & Plan’ session, alongside members of the BBC publicity team, Managing Partner Matt Stokoe introduced the students to life inside a PR agency before giving them a live brief to launch a range of products. After group brainstorms and idea discussions, the groups presented back their ideas to the assembled panel, detailing the big idea and tactical executions. For the students, the day also involved talks from some of the BBC presenting team including BBC Radio 1’s Rickie, Melvin and Charlie, plus a tour of BBC HQ.

Matt said: “It was a fun day, and the students all received unqiue insight and experience from a range of experts and comms professionals – while their creative workshop sessions resulted in some great ideas being developed. Here’s looking forward to next year’s session already!”

The initiative forms part of Clarion’s mission to help encourage future talent into the industry, including a focus on DE&I.
