Goodbye Kettles, Hello AI Chefs: Wickes’ Vision for 2075

Goodbye Kettles, Hello AI Chefs: Wickes’ Vision for 2075
Published on:

This week, our Wickes team helped reveal groundbreaking new research, boldly declaring that kitchen staples such as the humble kettle will be ‘cancelled’ by the year 2075. This visionary project delves into the radical shifts Gen Z anticipates for the heart of the home in 50 years’ time.

The research predicts a future where today’s kitchen staples are replaced by smart, sustainable, and digitally integrated solutions, with AI chefs, hydroponic gardens, and even built-in content creation studios.

To bring these predictions to life, Wickes worked with its in-house Design Consultants and renowned design historian Professor Deborah Sugg Ryan to create a digital rendering that visualises the kitchen of 2075.

This marks another successful collaboration where we’ve helped Wickes spotlight how homeowners are reimagining their spaces, proving that Brits are more houseproud than ever, keeping an eye firmly on a smarter, more sustainable future.

The news is already starting to make waves in media, but stay tuned, as we think this’ll spark real conversation…
