Launch of Bright Sparks Challenge 2026

Launch of Bright Sparks Challenge 2026
Published on:

We’re excited to launch the second iteration of our ‘Bright Sparks’ Creative Challenge – in partnership with Creative Alliance

Created as a future-focused initiative designed to cultivate the next generation of PR talent, it provides students and apprentices the chance to immerse themselves within the creative realms of PR and social, with the winning entry receiving £1,000 and a paid 2-week internship at Clarion.

Candidates simply have to respond to a PR  brief – which this year centres on launching a new tea product for Lipton Teas – and then shortlisted entrants will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas to a panel of judges, including Chief Marketing Officer at Lipton, Regional PR and Social Media Manager at Cathay Pacific, Clarion CEO Amanda Meyrick and James Ellis, Business Development Manager from Creative Alliance.

Last year saw talented duo Mia Anifowoshie (22) and Kiara Whyte (22) from The University of Central Lancashire walk away with the inaugural prize after impressing judges with their campaign around kitchens and bathrooms.

Clarion CEO Amanda Meyrick says: “Giving young people the chance to experience the creative thinking and fun that goes into successful PR campaigns is really important, as we want to entice the best people into our industry.  There were some outstanding ideas presented in the session last spring and we are excited to see how this year’s entrants respond to this fun brief.”

James Ellis, Business Development Manager from Creative Alliance says: “We’re delighted to be working with Clarion again on this great initiative that gives people the chance to immerse themselves and get experience inside the PR industry. We had some great entries last year and am looking forward to seeing the creative and inspiring ideas for this year’s brief.”

The competition is now open, enter here.
