We love making our mark with vibrant campaigns, and this one from Chipotle was certainly no different.
Recognising that a quarter of UK adults are now sporting some serious ink and inspired by the internet’s beloved ‘tatted like a Chipotle bag’ meme, we supported on a special Friday 13th giveaway this week where anyone with a tattoo gets a free meal at Chipotle.
Also drawing inspiration from the popular Friday 13th “flash tattoo” tradition, Chipotle has invited anyone with a tattoo to get a free main meal when they buy another this Friday 13th March.
To amplify the fun initiative, Chipotle also partnered with multi-platinum hip-hop superstar, Swae Lee. A self-proclaimed Chipotle superfan, Swae Lee’s involvement hit all the right notes, tapping into the popular ‘2026 is the new 2016’ nostalgia trend. It’s a chart-topping win-win, also supporting Swae Lee’s upcoming debut solo LP.
